Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Electronics)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Air Traffic Control (ATC) Operation Maintenance (OM) team based at HMAS Albatross ATC Nowra, NSW.
The successful candidate will be part of a small team responsible for servicing and maintaining ATC Systems, including radios, navigational aids, RADAR systems, data processing/display, data distribution, and other ATC related ancillary systems.
Main Responsibilities
* Conducting scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance on all ATC systems at HMAS Albatross.
* Fault finding and diagnosis utilizing a variety of modern specialized test equipment.
* Review and maintain technical documentation and processes.
* Maintenance data entry including maintenance planning and forecasting as appropriate.
* Comply with Defence maintenance reporting requirements through the authorized reporting web portal to comply with AMO requirements.
About You
* Minimum Certificate III in Electronics/Communications.
* Extensive electronics technical experience, including fault finding, diagnosis, repair, overhaul, and maintenance of complex electronic and electro-mechanical equipment.
* Radar frequency and RF communication experience.
* Well organized, self-starting, highly motivated, and able to work effectively autonomously, in a team environment, and with a variety of stakeholders.
* Ability to undertake routine activities without immediate supervision on occasion.
* Ability to provide technical input to the team and be team-oriented.
* High levels of verbal and written communication.
* Defence security NV1 clearance or eligibility to obtain.
