Key Account Manager - BDM - Hospitality - Foodservice Comcater is an Australian, 40-year young, family-owned business that has been a leading importer of premium commercial kitchen and catering equipment.They partner with some of the food service industry's most recognised and acclaimed brands from around the world.They are innovative in their approach, seeking out brands that will suit the diverse and evolving needs of Australian kitchens.They only partner with brands of the highest quality, with careful consideration placed on the brand's performance, research, efficiency, technology, and sustainability.They have offices, including state-of-the-art demonstration kitchens, in Victoria, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth.They are now looking for a KAM - BDM – Hospitality to grow, develop, and seek out new business opportunities (new as well as from within existing Key Account groups) to increase their presence and market share.You will be talking at all levels to café owners all the way through to F&B Directors, and relationship building is an important aspect of the role.If you are an existing chef or F&B manager looking to get into sales, this role could be for you.Based in Brisbane, and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager – Northern, you will take on the day-to-day management of customers and be accountable for exponentially growing their presence and market share.It is a mix of BD as well as Key Account Management, growing the revenue in some existing key accounts.Overnight travel is very minimal (1-2 overnights per quarter) as most of the business is in SE QLD, and other areas are also covered by supporting ASM's.Key Objectives – The role Development and execution of the sales and new business strategy in order to achieve sales budgets.Manage BD activities, Key Account Management, and sales opportunities of (Key) Accounts and develop plans and objectives.Identify, establish, manage, and maintain customer relationships and business opportunities with new and existing Key Accounts.Assist in creating and managing the supply channel for strategic customer accounts.Prospecting using networking, research, and relationship skills.Preferred Partner Agreements.Quotations.Lead generation activities to achieve customer conversions.Work with the regional sales team and dealer/wholesale distributors ASM's.Management of customer forecasts to ensure high customer satisfaction.Participate in regional planning for the Key Accounts.Implementation of the regional business development plan.Assist in the establishment of the annual sales and gross profit budgets.New product development management and launches for key customer projects.Active participation in trade shows and marketing activities as they are scheduled. You will have a demonstrated knowledge and experience of: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role or industry relevant experience.Experience in the food manufacturing/B2B sales would be a strong advantage.FMCG, QSR, Hospitality, HoReCa, foodservice.Understanding of the B2B sales processes (can be long) with large companies.Project management skills and/or qualifications.Extensive knowledge of the foodservice industry.Proven experience in delivering client-focused solutions and business growth.Strong commercial experience and analytical skills.Effective communicator at all levels in the organisation, including executives.Team player - you love working collaboratively and cross-functionally.Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) would be a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams.
