Currently a role exists for an experienced Project Development Engineer to join this dynamic team and lead the design, development, and execution of large-scale renewable energy projects.
Position Overview:
As a Project Development Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of utility-scale solar farms and stand-alone battery energy storage systems. You will oversee technical aspects of the project lifecycle, from site identification and feasibility studies through to design, permitting, and construction. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that projects are designed, permitted, and executed according to the highest standards of performance, quality, and efficiency.
This position demands strong project management skills and meticulous attention to detail. As a Project Development Engineer, you will be accountable for your work and take responsibility for any issues that arise. Your daily tasks will involve managing project budgets, monitoring internal and external resources, and ensuring all necessary planning and secondary approvals are secured for project completion.
Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated success in developing utility-scale solar farms and stand-alone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
* Experience managing connection application processes from pre-enquiry to connection offer stages.
* Skilled in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, engineers, accountants, procurement specialists, and consultants.
* Proficient in creating and managing project management programs and budgets.
* Strong background in construction or development management.
* Experienced in town planning and navigating the development approval process through state governments and local councils.
* Adept at project budgeting, revenue management, and expense control.
* Highly skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
* Excellent document control, filing, and organizational abilities.
* Effective in communication, negotiation, and influencing.
* Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
