Sydney Asset Management Contract or Temporary
Our client, a large financial services firm, is seeking a Trading Desk IT Analyst to join their Sydney office. This role will work with a global production support team responsible for day-to-day regional support for Capital Markets Brokerage Trading Applications.
Scope of Work:
The successful candidate will be part of the Capital Markets team within the Asset Servicing arm, in a Production Support capacity at the Analyst level. They will work independently within a global production support team, responsible for 24×7 production support across the globe for various Capital Market applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* The Trading Desk IT Analyst will provide technical and functional desk support across multiple technologies used by Brokerage Capital Market applications.
* They will support business and operations partners and clients, and liaise with upstream and downstream application teams.
* The role may require some night/weekend work in rare instances. The ideal candidate should be available Monday – Friday and willing to escalate from the business and/or team members as needed.
* The candidate needs to have a good understanding of brokerage or OMS trading support functions.
* They are expected to be located in Sydney and work on the trading floor in the Sydney office a minimum of 4 days a week.
Requirements:
* 1-2 years of FIX Protocol experience is required.
* The candidate should have excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of various technologies in a financial institution, including trade applications.
* Reasonably in-depth functional and/or industry knowledge of Brokerage / Security Finance is required.
* ~3-7 years of work experience in any OMS, ideally Flextrade, is highly sought after.
* Experience working in Onsite/Offshore models, particularly supporting APAC, UK, and US business lines, is desired.
* Experience in incident management, ticket workflows, and escalation processes, as well as ServiceNow/ITIL Methodologies, is mandatory.
* The ideal candidate is highly flexible and adaptable to change, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* They should be able to resolve problems analytically and logically, troubleshoot root cause, and resolve production incidents.
