Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to oversee our Western Victoria and Gippsland regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large team of experienced foodservice Sales representatives and our Telesales department, reporting directly to the General Manager.
This role can be based out of Ballarat or Melbourne and requires frequent travel across Regional Victoria.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the sales strategy planning and implement sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and objectives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.
* Formulate and manage sales incentive programs.
* Secure new business through external stakeholder engagement and development of client relationships.
* Oversee the management of sales budgets, forecasting, and reporting.
* Collaborate with senior management to refine business strategies and ensure alignment with company goals.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity, adapting sales strategies as needed.
* Lead, motivate, develop and manage the sales team.
* Cultivate a sales team culture centred on excellence, innovation, motivation, and accountability.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, within the food service or related industries.
* Strong track record of developing and executing sales strategies and achieving revenue and profit targets.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
* Ability to analyse market trends and data to make informed decisions.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to motivate teams and drive results.
* Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
