Due to the second stage of our expansion, Knox Private Hospital is looking to employ a Registered Nurse for their Coronary Care Unit which is expanding at the end of April. Suitable applicants with the right clinical background are encouraged to apply.
About us
Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 31 bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.
Our dedicated, 17 Bed, standalone Coronary Care Unit has a highly skilled team caring for patients with acute cardiac conditions and procedures such as TAVI, Ablations and Interventions. Supported by an education team, we provide ongoing training and development, including post graduate education and advanced practice courses.
As a Registered Nurse in the Coronary Care Unit, your responsibilities will include:
1. Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
2. Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care
3. Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs
4. Act as a role model for Safe Practice
5. Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery
Minimum Requirements:
1. Authority to Work in Australia
2. Working with Children check (if relevant)
3. Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
4. Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
5. Post Graduate Certificate in Coronary Care or Critical Care, or minimum 2 years’ experience in a CCU
6. Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
7. Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
8. Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
9. Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
10. Flexibility to work a roster of Morning and Afternoon shifts as well as Saturdays when required.

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025" (salaries range between $36.13 and $48.32).
