Job Description:
Part Time Bakers required for Costco North Lakes QLD.
The role involves a rotating roster including weekend work and starts from 7am or finishing as late as 10pm. A minimum of 24 hours is rostered weekly.
* Operate and monitor proofbox, setting temperature, humidity and timers.
* Use and maintain gas fired rack ovens, setting temperature and timers, and remove baked products using oven mitts for cooling.
* Follow production sheets for Order of Production.
* Refer to Formula Book, Scaling and Yield Sheets, Production Bench Manual, Proof Box Sheet, Oven Time and Temperature Sheet.
* Scales and combines ingredients using power equipment to prepare various types of baked goods, rolls, cuts and shapes products.
* Uses production thermometers, dough divider, scales, knives, spatulas, safety ladder and scissors when preparing various scratch and frozen items.
* Produces, dates and stores ingredients and product for next day use.
* Assists with other bakery duties as needed.
* Provides prompt and courteous member service.
* Follows SSOP guidelines for cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position.
* Completes and complies with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety certification, and all safety training required by warehouse and department.
* Must be available to work early mornings, late shifts and potentially overnights.
* Capability to lift up to 25kg - a physical manual handling assessment will be conducted.
* Candidates must be over 18 years old.
* Candidates must possess a trade qualification and able to present certification.
* Education/Training: Trade School required.
* Licenses/Certifications: Food Handling, food safety preferred.
* Experience: Bakery experience required.
Baking Qualification and knowledge required.
