About the RoleWe are launching two automated Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) in Melbourne and Sydney.
The new CFCs will revolutionise the customer experience for online grocery shopping, offering improved availability and freshness, a broader range of produce, and a seamless digital experience, all while providing a safer working environment for our team members.
The new CFCs will be the first of their kind in Australia.
Joining our team as a Health & Safety Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the safety performance of the Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) and associated Spoke network.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally to the business.
* Work alongside CFC operations teams and key stakeholders to reach desired outcomes.
* Ensure Coles has the right framework of controls in place to effectively mitigate risk.
* Represent the business to state regulators and relevant industry bodies where necessary.
* Ensure clear and accurate reporting insights and frameworks are provided to the leadership teams.
* Provide risk assessments with clear guidance on practical risk reduction.
* Evaluate business risk reduction plans to ensure effectiveness in managing risk.
* Demonstrate due diligence in meeting legislative responsibilities in the safe storage, handling, and distribution of products.
* Implement and lead the safety and wellbeing initiatives from the National Safety Plan.
Your Qualifications
* Solid knowledge, skill, and experience in health and safety, critical risk reduction, traffic management, and transport safety.
* Minimum 3 years' working experience in an operational FMCG distribution centre, manufacturing, or automated environment (highly desirable).
* A proven record of achieving results and leading change within a fast-paced dynamic environment.
* A clear demonstration of ability to incorporate safety requirements while considering commercially viable and practical solutions.
* A minimum qualification of Cert IV in Health and Safety or related discipline.
* Strong stakeholder management and relationship building capabilities with internal and external parties.
* Effective communication and influencing skills, with strong attention to detail.
* Competency in the safety reporting and evaluating compliance, to then transform insights into frontline safety initiatives to address risk.
