UQ Centre for Clinical Research Full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 12 months/ Base salary will be in the range $98,582 - $107,349 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7) Based at our Herston Campus About This Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) to join our dynamic Clinical Trials Support Unit at the UQ Centre for Clinical Research (UQCCR), based at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital Campus in Herston, Brisbane. In this role, you will work with principal investigators, experienced clinicians, and project managers to conduct and coordinate clinical research activities across various clinical studies and randomised controlled trials (RCTs). Key responsibilities include: Assisting with project setup, participant recruitment and follow-up, and bio-sample collection. Supporting mixed-methods data collection, database usage, and investigational product (IP) education and administration. Coordinating clinical studies to ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP), Standard Operating Procedures, and ethical/regulatory requirements. Liaising effectively with clinical staff, research teams, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth study operations. Active, unrestricted AHPRA registration with the ability to perform clinical activities, including venipuncture, medication administration, and ECG. Demonstrated knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements for clinical trials and research, including experience in clinical trial start-up, coordination, and close-out activities. Proven track record in conducting and coordinating clinical trials in collaboration with other health disciplines. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, combined with excellent organisational and planning abilities. Proficiency in clinical trial management systems or the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly. The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, AHPRA registration and mandatory immunisations.
