About the role
We are looking for support workers to help who have industry experience, manual handling skills and the following attributes:
* Experience managing participants who require support with complex care and high physical needs.

* We are seeking Disability Support Workers who have experience in supporting participants with highly complex needs.
* You will work in Supported Disability Accommodation to support those with medical needs and manual handling requirements to live in an environment that maximises personal growth and independence.

* 15+ hours per week paid employment.
* Experience in manual handling, transfers and experience utilising AT equipment.
* Experience in supporting people with physical and neurological diagnosis, which relates to their disability.
* Experience in Mental health diagnosis. Supporting individuals with mental health and wellbeing.
* Ability and adaptability to change in a person's support needs.
* Highly desirable in Young, Aged and Health background experience.

Mandatory requirements
* Cert III in Disability Services or 12 months experience.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* NDIS Orientation module (NDIS Quality Safety & You).
* Working with Children Check (underage participants only).
* Driver’s Licence.
* Car Insurance.
* Reliable vehicle.
* Must be available for sleepover shifts.
* At least 1 year as a DSW in the NDIS sector.
* Must have current CPR and First Aid certification.
Additional skillset:
* Experience in acquired brain injury.
* Experience in mental health.
* Non-smokers only (essential due to participant triggers).
* Experience in addictions or drug & alcohol knowledge.
* Experience in Diabetes Management and Implementation of Diabetes Management Plan.
