About the Role
The Azure Infrastructure Technical Lead manages and supports Azure Cloud platform, focusing on security, automation, scalability, and cost management. They contribute to the IT strategic roadmap, playing a key role in network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity while supporting broader IT functions, including security, applications, and business support.
Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and secure the Azure platform while ensuring scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
2. Regularly update, patch, and harden infrastructure, ensuring adherence to security best practices, company policies, and regulatory standards.
3. Utilize tools to monitor Azure cloud, network, and security, proactively addressing issues to maintain optimal performance and cost control.
4. Design and maintain Azure-based infrastructure for CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, Bicep, and ARM.
5. Work with IT teams and business units to align automation capabilities with business needs while maintaining cost control and standardization.
6. Provide day-to-day support, leadership, and mentorship for Azure services, including Windows Server IaaS, AAD, Key Vault, Firewall, Defender, and Security Centre.
7. Maintain SOPs, configurations, and troubleshooting documentation to align with operational standards.
Skills and Experience
1. Relevant IT qualifications, industry certifications, and hands-on experience in senior technical roles across the Financial Services industry is a MUST.
2. Strong experience in configuring, securing, and managing Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, following frameworks like Essential 8, NIST, and CIS.
3. Proven ability to implement and support Azure services, including AAD, Storage, Networking, Key Vault, Firewall, Defender, Intune, Security Centre, Sentinel, and Policy.
4. Experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows IaaS, Active Directory, MSSQL, and enterprise services like Zscaler.
5. Skilled in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Terraform, Bicep, and ARM Templates.
6. Proficiency in cloud recovery strategies, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
7. Expertise in deploying Azure Monitor for system performance tracking, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
8. Extensive experience in Azure cloud networking and security best practices.
9. In-depth knowledge of ITIL processes, including incident, change, problem, and configuration management.
