WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Dozer Push Operator is responsible for efficiently supporting dragline operations by preparing the dragline work area. This includes pushing overburden material to ensure optimal conditions for the dragline to operate effectively and efficiently. The operator will also assist in maintaining safety, productivity, and environmental standards.
* Operate dozers to move overburden and other materials as required, creating ideal conditions for dragline excavation.
* Push material to enhance the draglines reach and optimize its cycles.
* Work closely with dragline operators to ensure coordinated operations and minimize downtime.
* Operate large dozers (e.g., Caterpillar D10, D11, or equivalent) safely and efficiently in line with site procedures.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
* Experience operating large dozers in an open-cut mining environment.
* Experience in supporting dragline operations.
* Current certifications/tickets for dozer operations.
* Ability to read and interpret mine plans and follow work instructions.
* Excellent operational skills in dozer handling.
* Strong safety focus and awareness.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of mining production targets and strategies.
