As Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will report to our Director Organisational Services and lead a team of up to 50 employees who provide high-quality, cost-effective information, communications and digital technology services to our 1300 employees and enhance the overall efficiency of our operations. You will be an important member of the Organisational Leadership Team, contributing your strategic direction and management experience within IT services, digital innovation and cyber security. You will have the ability to set and implement a clear strategic direction and drive continuous improvement while balancing the digital needs of Council staff and the community. Along with the criteria within the Position Statement, the successful candidate will also have: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration, or Management) or equivalent industry experience Strongly demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership and support to groups of different sizes, with varied skills and backgrounds, to achieve improvements in customer experience and overall performance. Proven ability to initiate, implement and manage organisational, transformational, behavioural and cultural change. Understanding of how local government contributes to a city and the critical role of ICT in that contribution.
