Position Summary :
The Finance Manager will demonstrate their financial leadership, showing initiative, innovation and business savvy approach to the financial dealings of the organisation.The position is responsible for the overall finance functions of the organisation, including management reporting, audit support, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll. The position is also responsible to oversee the improvement of financially-related internal controls and processes across the wider organisation and to support the operations through effective management of suppliers. You will support the executive management team by offering instights and financial anslysis which will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.
Key Requirements :
* Proven experience as a Financial Manager
* Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
* Proficient user of finance software
* Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
* Strong financial reporting and tax experience
* A thorough understanding of financial governance practices
* Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are followed
* A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
* Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
Job Responsibility :
* Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
* Keep up to date with monthly payroll documents and ensure that all other statutory requirements
* Completing the BAS reconciliation and all other required related taxation obligations
* Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
* Maintain the financial health of the organisation
* Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans
* Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances
* Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
* Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
* Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
* Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
* Assist in determining the company's proper capital structure
* Arrange for equity and debt financing
* Recommend appropriate dividend issuance, based on historical dividend patterns and expected cash flows
* Review company bottlenecks and recommend changes to improve the overall level of company throughput
* Participate in target costing activities to create products that meet predetermined price
* Assist the determination of product pricing in relation to features offered and competitor pricing
* Compile key business metrics and report on them to management
* Manage the capital budgeting process, based on constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis
* Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management
