Management - Schools (Education & Training)Full timeThis is a full-time leadership role reporting to the School Principal and a valued member of the School Management Team.The Business Manager is responsible for all matters pertaining to school finances including budgeting, forecasting, management, and statutory reporting. The incumbent will ensure there are appropriate systems and controls in place to safeguard school assets and maintain compliance with all statutory and funding requirements in a timely manner.The role requires interaction with a wide range of stakeholders including the School Board, external auditors, parents, students, and staff. In addition, the position has responsibility for the management of direct reports, including the Bookkeeper and Maintenance Staff. Working closely with the Board, Principal, and Management Team, the Business Manager will attend regular Management and Board meetings and work collaboratively to support the school strategic plan.The successful applicant must possess sound judgement and strong analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Superior attention to detail is essential, together with high-level communication skills; written and verbal. IT proficiency, particularly in Excel and Xero, is required, and experience with Somerset Education is desired.Sophia Mundi Steiner School is committed to child safety.
