A dynamic aerospace technology company specialising in high-performance, mission-critical solutions for the defence and aerospace sectors is looking for Research Engineers.
They are looking for two skilled Research Engineers to develop and refine state-of-the-art algorithms for target recognition and tracking.
We have two distinct Research Engineer positions:
* Target Recognition Algorithm Research – Focused on designing and implementing algorithms for object detection and classification using multi-sensor data.
* Target Tracking Algorithm Research – Dedicated to developing object tracking solutions, sensor fusion algorithms, and real-time tracking methodologies.
These roles involve designing and implementing advanced algorithms for target recognition or object tracking, leveraging sensor fusion techniques and guidance, control, and navigation systems. You will contribute to real-time tracking solutions working alongside a dynamic team.
Research Engineers
Location: Adelaide or Melbourne
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required for this role.
For Interstate candidates, relocation to Adelaide or Melbourne is required.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and optimise algorithms for target recognition or target tracking.
* Work with sensor fusion algorithms to enhance detection and tracking accuracy.
* Research and implement object tracking techniques.
* Contribute to guidance, control, and navigation systems.
* Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate solutions into real-world applications.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in developing algorithms for target recognition or tracking.
* Proficiency in sensor fusion, object tracking, or guidance, control, and navigation.
* Hands-on experience with machine learning, computer vision, or statistical filtering techniques.
* Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
Knowledge of real-time processing and embedded systems is highly desirable.
