Responsibilities:
1. Design, deploy, and maintain robust network infrastructure to support critical control systems used in mining operations.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse network requirements and implement efficient solutions.
3. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimise downtime and ensure optimal system functionality.
4. Configure and manage network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
5. Implement and maintain network security measures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorised access.
6. Conduct regular network audits and perform necessary updates and upgrades to ensure network reliability and compliance.
7. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines for reference and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
8. Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a strong focus on supporting critical control systems.
9. In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security concepts.
10. Experience with network design and implementation, including LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations.
11. Proficiency in configuring and managing network equipment
12. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex network issues efficiently.
13. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
14. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE will be highly regarded.
