Job Title: EL1 Assistant Director Guidance and Practice
About the Role:
We are seeking multiple EL1 Assistant Directors Guidance and Practice on behalf of a Federal Government Agency based in Deakin, ACT. This is a 12-month assignment, with a strong possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Initiating, establishing, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to develop collaborative guidance to support service delivery.
* Providing strategic advice about the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts, and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements.
* Providing support to drive business improvement in access and planning processes, including expert advice to internal and external stakeholders.
* Raising awareness of critical issues to senior management through regular management reporting.
* Providing effective leadership to a small team of staff delivering Agency Guidelines, letters, and knowledge articles.
* Prioritizing completing priorities and providing advice to the Agency's executive team about overall team capacity, scope of work, and progress against key deliverables.
* Providing considered advice to multi-disciplinary teams and the Agency's executive, Board, Minister, and other Australian Government Departments in a timely manner.
Requirements:
* Excellent communication skills.
* High attention to detail and the ability to resolve issues and manage risks across wide-ranging activities.
* A positive contemporary attitude to people with disability along with a high level of understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.
* Applying project management skills to coordinate and support Agency business areas to undertake effective resource development.
* Resolving issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail.
* Providing leadership, planning, resource management, performance management, and decision-making for the team membership and assigned contractors working within the work area.
* Experience in leading the development and creation of accessible guidance materials in plain English and providing guidance around the interpretation of legislation and policies.

* Be willing to undergo an Australian Federal Police Check and completion of the Agency's screening checks, including; Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check.

* $602.55 per day + super.
