As the UX/UI Designer in Design System & Operations, you will be responsible for creating and managing a set of reusable design components and guidelines that ensure consistency, efficiency, and collaboration across design projects. You'll support decision-making at various stages of the design process, help onboard new designers, and maintain a shared visual language, ultimately improving the overall quality and cohesiveness of the company's products and brand identity. Day to day: Maintain and enhance a scalable, multi-brand design system that includes a cohesive set of UI components, design patterns, and guidelines for all mobile and web products, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible for all design projects. Take direction from UX Manager on implementing design wide operational improvements. Strategically partner with engineering, product, and brand to define the future of design systems. Advocate for design principles and best practices within the organisation, providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams. Inspire the team and internal partners by introducing fresh ideas and defining next-generation interfaces through high-quality mock-ups and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate your vision. Use user research and data to inform your reasonings for your approach in scaling design systems. Design and maintain the components, UI patterns, documentation for Stripe's design system & component library. Uphold our high standards for design and product quality. Facilitate workshops and establish documentation and usage guidelines to educate teams on how to use components and patterns across design and code to encourage adoption. Collaborate closely with engineering and the UX Manager to establish and manage a process that ensures the efficient operation of the design system, facilitates the submission of design components from other designers, and supports the development of components by various engineering teams. Collaborate closely with product designers, engineers, and other stakeholders across the business to develop the tools and processes essential for creating world-class user experiences. Engage with all project stakeholders to ensure the design system aligns with their requirements and seamlessly integrates into their workflows. You'll be perfect for the role if you have: 3+ years of design experience. Experience in leading a design system or very high experience in contributing to a design system. Experienced in using Figma at an advanced level. Experience in Storybook. Experience in Design System at an advanced level. Why Flight Centre?
