You’ll work with our global product teams to help them empathise with our users and help us validate that we are solving the right problems, based on what we’ve learnt. Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:
* Organise, carry out user research & testing sessions, in partnership with product & client teams
* Conduct user & competitor research based on product initiatives, supported by product analytics and internal support teams
* Develop current and future state customer journey maps
* Develop user flows
* Develop UX and UI designs from low to medium to hi-fidelity
* Develop service design blueprints
* Develop a Jobs to be done framework
* Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods
* Helps empower your colleagues through storytelling and insightful artefacts that bring your findings to life
* Work collaboratively with Product and Product Design teams to help identify and plan user engagement opportunities
* Participates and provides quality input into any requirements or analysis of solutions, features or non-functional requirements.
* Contributes positively to the team, provides relevant and appropriate inputs to enable effective team outcomes to be delivered.
* Ensures any key person risk is minimised by working with others and appropriately documenting decisions and outcomes.
* Fosters and develops strong working relationships with the wider product and technology group. Will mentor/coach more junior designers and researchers, and take feedback or seek guidance from more senior team members.
* Effectively manages work, whether assigned or taken. Ensures dependencies, issues or risks on other teams are known and owns remediation of such.
* Pragmatic and realistic around what’s achievable in a given timeframe with a positive attitude towards growing and furthering the cause of the design practice.
* Has a sharing mindset and continually provides thought leadership and knowledge within the design team as well as wider Iress’ group.
What you will bring:
* Specialist expertise in Human Centred Design framework and approaches to problem solving
* Quantitative and qualitative research skill set
* Familiar working with the following tools: Figma, Miro, Dovetail
* Experience in leading teams and working within a team, working on a single software product or component.
* Has a growth mindset and excitement about tackling the next challenge with a team, understands that growth comes from continuously developing through hard work.
* Will test the status quo and enjoys thinking about and implementing innovative ways to solve problems - and in doing this is not afraid to fail!
* Strong, multi-year experience as a member of teams working on research projects..
* Proven and demonstrable experience using standard research and design tools and software and is across the main techniques and activities of Human Centred Design.
* Experience in collaborative teams, working in co-located or remote team structures. Experience mentoring less-experienced designers and researchers while actively learning and engaging with more experienced technologists.
