Excellent Federal Govt Opportunity Australian Citizenship Mandatory Long term contract with Hybrid Work Arrangement Your new company We’re looking for a Service Designer to join our Federal Govt client's diverse, talented and innovative digital technology team who together are helping our customers and communities build a better future. This role works closely with SME's across the business, design crafts, accessibility, engineering, product and program teams. The role will include human-centred design, systems thinking, and future thinking, and will facilitate the planning, design research, data analysis, facilitation of ideation and co-design activities, prototyping and end-end project delivery. Your new role As a service designer, you'll consult with tech and business reps to design processes, systems, and tools, champion the user's voice, and develop business-enabling tools. You'll also: Collaborate with teams to promote service design, build stakeholder consensus, and influence leaders. Lead design-thinking workshops, customer interviews, and focus groups to generate actionable insights. Identify requirements, address inefficiencies, and optimize processes with stakeholders and data analysis. Develop innovative technical solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency. Document current and future business processes through workshops. Ensure high-quality documentation and user requirements through rigorous checks. What you'll need to succeed At least 3 years' experience in Service Design, Strategic Design or Design Research with a demonstrable portfolio of work. Experience with Journey mapping, Systems thinking, User research and analysis, Prototyping and testing, Data analysis and synthesis Australian citizenship is mandatory Experience in using collaborative ideation techniques to create and validate solutions. High quality Strategy and Service design skills across all phases of design, proven experience of applying methods to different projects, context, and user base. Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills. Solid stakeholder management and communication skills (meetings, presentations, and facilitation etc.), and a range of influencing techniques to build rapport and develop positive relationships. Use your design, analytical and problem-solving skills to 'bridge the gap' between business and technology. Experience in leading workshops and customer sessions. Experience in future thinking and working with complex systems and structures.
