About the Role
At Lady Small Haven Aged Care Service, we are thrilled to offer fantastic openings for individuals to become part of our devoted team, providing invaluable support as Kitchenhands and Catering staff. As a Kitchenhand, you will assist in the morning, while taking on Catering responsibilities in the afternoon.
Your role will encompass essential food handling and cleaning tasks across various areas, including the main kitchen, bedrooms, dining rooms, and common spaces. We take pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our residents.
This opportunity will involve flexible working hours, including day and evening shifts, and occasional weekend commitments. Join us and make a positive impact in the lives of our cherished residents while becoming an integral member of our caring community.
In this varied role your day-to-day responsibilities could include:
* Exceptional customer service, serving food to elderly residents;
* Setting up and clearing dining rooms and tray service to resident rooms;
* Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas;
* Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices according to legislation;
* General cleaning duties.
About You
You are a dedicated and dependable team player who takes great joy in your work. You possess a strong enthusiasm for kitchen and cleaning tasks and consistently strive to deliver top-notch customer service to our residents. Adapting easily to a fast-paced environment, you demonstrate genuine care and compassion for the elderly, maintaining an environment tailored to their needs.
Ideally you will have:
* Experience working in the Aged Care industry is desirable, but not essential;
* Experience working in commercial kitchens and operating equipment associated with is desirable;
* Physical capacity to carry out the duties required;
* Current National Police Certificate or the ability to acquire.
