Job Posting Date: 15 Mar 2025Function: Maintenance and EngineeringLocation:AUApplications are now invited for a Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent to join the Asset Management department.This new position is a key leadership role leading a large team who are responsible for the safe operation of all mechanical maintenance assets across the Nyrstar Port Pirie site, including ball mills, crushers, pumps, gear boxes, conveyors, kilns, belts, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, furnaces, and the compliance of compressors and power plants. This role is also responsible for mechanical statutory regulations and standards.This is a residential role, based in Port Pirie, South Australia on a Monday to Friday roster. This position is for a full-time basis. Relocation assistance will be provided to the successful candidate as required.Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:Develop, implement and continually monitor and review maintenance strategies and make necessary changes to satisfy the service requirements of production departments.Ensure the availability, operability, and ongoing preservation of plant and equipment through the application of appropriate reliability and condition monitoring regimes, providing site direction for maintenance standards and assisting with the application of effective maintenance practices.Establish and monitor strategies for improving maintenance performance for the site, including training in maintenance and development of computer-based maintenance management systems.Provide leadership and support to the Capital Projects and Shutdown teams in relation to setting targets, determination of priorities, and related resource planning.Provide support and guidance in relation to the identification of savings/efficiencies and optimisation strategies.Lead a large mechanical maintenance team, providing guidance and coaching as required to achieve targeted outcomes and results.Qualifications, Skills & Experiences:5-10 years’ experience in a similar level role.Extensive knowledge of asset maintenance systems and processes.Ideally, you have a degree in engineering, maintenance management, or an extensive related background.Trade/Diploma qualified is desirable.Capable of working at all levels of business and proficient at Superintendent/Management levels.Demonstrated ability to lead and problem solve – make plans, take initiative to identify improvements and implement effectively.Applications:Click Apply to submit your application including a cover letter and resume.Please note you must have unrestricted valid rights to work in Australia.
