About the Opportunity
As the Associate Director of People and Wellbeing, you will serve as a trusted partner and leader within your client group, fostering a people-centred culture and enabling the delivery of a wide range of strategic and operational people initiatives. This role requires you to provide specialist people leadership that significantly impacts the University in a constantly evolving and vibrant environment.
You’ll bring a contemporary and pragmatic approach to supporting the people plans of your client group, ensuring alignment with up-to-date knowledge of legislation, trends, and best practice thinking. As a senior leader within the People and Wellbeing team, you will need a supportive and collaborative style to work effectively across the function.
Providing specialist and strategic advice to senior leaders, you’ll enable a people-centric working environment across the University. This vacancy has arisen due to an internal promotion within the University, reflecting our commitment to career development and growth opportunities for our staff.
What’s required
* A demonstrated track record of managing change, people and wellbeing matters within a large and/or complex organisation.
* Demonstrated ability to translate the strategic direction of an organisation into a clear people plan and lead and deliver business transformation initiatives and programs.
* A demonstrated track record of coaching, inspiring and motivating others and making decisions that balance achieving outcomes and care for people.
* Proactive examples of leading and contributing to an organisational culture that supports an effective safety and wellbeing environment through systems and processes and through personal behaviours.
* A growth mindset and the capacity to think critically.
* Demonstrated success in establishing and leading high-performing teams, providing a supportive and collegial work environment, and fostering and mentoring team members to achieve at their highest capability.
* Exemplary leadership capability with constructive resilient behaviours.
Qualifications and Licences
* Appropriate Tertiary qualifications
* Driver’s license
* Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment)
