Job Description Responsibilities of Role - Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioural characteristics of production services - Partner with development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture - Demonstrate clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles - Act as escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures - Develop automation for repetitive or simple tasks - Provide investigation and troubleshooting input during major customer impacting events - Cooperate with multiple teams to build systems and services that improve operational efficiency, drive reliability, scalability, resilience, security, and performance across Oracle NSGBU product. - Perform deep dive investigations on recurring issues identified in Problem Management tickets Career Level - IC3 Responsibilities - Work with monitoring and analytic tools like Prometheus, Grafana and OpenSearch to resolve incidents and identify problems - On daily basis resolve site incidents on various levels of cloud infrastructure - from Network, OS to Application issues - Join the routing roster and help distribute tickets to the SRE team - Actively collaborate with other engineering teams in the Oracle Netsuite Cloud Operations (system engineering, network team, infrastructure engineering, security, maintenance team, database engineering) to support, design and implement tooling and automation platforms - Create and review knowledge documents - Respond to requests for assistance in various Slack channels monitored by the SRE team Qualifications & Skills Requirement - Strong in Linux terminal skills - Proficient with monitoring, networking and core cloud concepts - Linux Operating System performance troubleshooting and tuning experience - Understanding of web technologies, Apache, HTTPS/SSL, Web sessions - Understand the software lifecycle development process - Knowledge of database environments and requirements for high availability environments - Solid analytical skills for troubleshooting problems - Excellent communication skills in English - BS in Computer Science or related field Salary Range: AUD $80000- $88000 per annum LI-DNI About Us As a world leader in cloud solutions, Oracle uses tomorrow's technology to tackle today's problems.
