About the RoleWe are on the lookout for an experienced Sous chef to join our team at Kirra Beach House and be responsible for functions & events, daily operations of the kitchen, across the Terrace Menus to Beach House Events, from procurement and food preparation to quality control and team leadership, ensuring high quality food is delivered to our guests. Reporting to the Heads & Group Executive Chef you will:? Lead effective people practices for your team including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, all within a positive working environment.? Ensure the food offering is prepared and delivered to guests in line with Site Hospitality's standards of quality and service.? Capable of delivering on trend, relevant & seasonal food offering.? Be accountable for sourcing growth opportunities, activating ideas and delivery of concepts alongside the head & executive chef. About YouTo be the perfect addition to Kirra Beach House, you will have 5 years prior experience as a Sous chef in a high paced, high-volume environment where you've used your good time management skills, excellent leadership and the ability to work under pressure. You'll also be:? Able to educate others on new techniques in all sections and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.? A good communicator with a positive attitude and a genuine team player.? Neatly presented with extremely high levels of hygiene and pride in your appearance.? Developed and executed elevated, high-volume menus.? Worked across events, weddings and strong logistic skills.? Organised with a strong passion for consistent, well executed food.? Background in development of kitchen staff of all levels.
