Project Engineer - Electrical
The Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO) project is an international effort supported by 16 countries to build the world’s largest radio telescopes, led by the SKAO.
Ventia has been awarded a significant part of the contract and is leveraging our telecommunications capabilities for this exciting project.
Our scope includes the provision of power and fibre networks, and the design and commission of a Central Processing Facility (CPF) and Remote Processing Facilities (RPF) at the Australian site.
The Project Engineer - Electrical will be an integral link to the success of our business.
This will be a role across all facets of the Project and initially spending time in our Welshpool Construction Facility and backing up the current Project Engineer on his week off on site.
About the role:
1. Interpret design packages and provide technical input
2. On-site subject matter expert for field staff queries to ensure optimal constructability.
3. Drive, ensure and promote HSE across the project
4. Execute detailed schedule including look-ahead
5. Conduct daily and weekly reporting
About you:
6. Bachelor’s in engineering and or similar
7. Proven delivery experience in Telecommunications
8. Ability to resolve design & construction complexities
9. Proficiencies in MS project & Microsoft suites
