Credentialing and Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) Officer - South Brisbane Administration Brisbane Part Time Icon Cancer Centre Australia Credentialing and Medical Advisory Committee Officer – Icon Group We have a new permanent part-time opportunity for a credentialing officer to join our team in our Head Office in South Brisbane.The role will oversee the credentialing process of our medical practitioners (SMO, VMO, Allied Health Professionals, Clinical Observers, Medical Students, Sessional Practitioners) who provide services to 38 Cancer Centres across Australia.The role will also provide secretarial support to the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) and Credentialing Sub-Committee.About the Role: Location: 22 Cordelia Street, South Brisbane 4101 (WFH/Remote days available).Work Type: Permanent Part Time - 3 days per week, 38 hours per fortnight.Reports to: General Manager Revenue and Service Relationships.Key Responsibilities of the Role: Medical Practitioner Credentialing: Collaborate with CEO, Medical Director and National Quality & Risk Manager to ensure credentialing requirements are completed and presented for inclusion in MAC papers.Work with business and stakeholders to create streamlined workflow (State Managers/Site Manager/CEO/Business Development Team/Medical Director).Monitor ongoing credentialing requirements including professional registration with AHPRA or other regulatory body, medical indemnity, professional development requirements of medical practitioners reporting limitations/changes/variances to GMCS.Manage renewal/re-credentialing after initial 1 year credentialing and thereafter 3 yearly to mitigate risk to the business.Identify and manage risk of applicants and make recommendations to CEO / Medical Director / Credentialing Committee to mitigate risk.Assist in Site/Admin Manager Induction regarding Credentialing/MAC.Assist practitioners with initial Medicare Provider Numbers / liaise with Medicare.Committee Secretary: Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) / Credentialing Sub-Committee: Coordinate Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) meetings and Credentialing Sub-Committee meetings by planning ahead for 12 months and updating MAC members 4 weeks prior to each meeting, ensuring quorum is met where possible.Prepare and distribute MAC and Credentialing Sub-Committee Reports/Agenda, relevant meeting notes, assist with the content including reports from other parties and presentations.Ensure members can attend meetings with the aid of technology and ensure technical support for links and presentations is coordinated with IT in a timely manner.Attend meetings, take and distribute minutes.Follow up on actions and monitor progress between meetings.Ensure a copy of the minutes for each meeting is maintained and provided to the ICON Board at each meeting.Coordinate annual evaluation of MAC Committee by its members and organise any surveys/questionnaires as required.Who are we looking for?
