About The Role Engage with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and their families enabling them to become informed about their diseases and the options for care available to them within NWHHS.
Support continued improvement of health services by always participating in quality improvement opportunities.
Requirements Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be recognised as Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.This position requires the incumbent to have successfully completed the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (PHC) or equivalent.The position may involve travel to various facilities or units within the North West Hospital and Health Service.C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a 'working with children check; from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A / B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.A period of probation may apply.Interested?
