We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated SHEET METAL WORKER to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, supporting operations at our Virginia site in South Australia.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be working in a packing facility environment.
Duties include: Undertake scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance for all company plant and equipment.Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance of machines, overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.Study drawings and specifications of various company plant and equipment to determine suitable material, method, and machine settings in line with Australian Standards.Fabrication, assembly, and subassembly of metal parts to plant and equipment, ability to work with stainless steel.Ensuring all fabricated and assembled components are checked for accuracy and fit using precision measuring tools.Use of lathes, mills, presses and other workshop equipment to repair, modify and construct equipment components.May be required to erect machines and equipment on-site.Develop strong working relationships with the operational teams, providing advice on optimal machine settings.Perform installation and relocation of equipment as required.Contribute to the successful delivery of maintenance projects, taking responsibility as directed.Perform all types of maintenance to the fullest of your capability, without demarcation.Maintain a clean and tidy workshop and other work locations.Maintain and service all tools and other workshop equipment.Maintain inventory records and procure parts and equipment as required in accordance with company process and procedure.All other requirements as directed to achieve business objectives.Requirements: Trade Qualification plus at least 1 year of relevant experience OR at least 3 years of relevant experience.Experience in maintenance services.Experience working in a production environment (desirable).Confidence reading and interpreting drawings and equipment documentation.Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving skills.High Risk Work Licence (essential).Cultural adaptability and a willingness to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.A willingness to be hands-on and participate in a broad range of duties; a strong work ethic is essential.Respect for others and pride in team's performance.Commitment to ongoing learning.Commitment to delivering team goals and the drive to be successful.This position will require weekend and night work in line with production demands.
