The Assistant Buyer role is an integral part of the merchandise team, working closely to support the Head of Product. This role involves administrative tasks, vendor communication and assisting with product selection. The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and organise master data records including product SKU creation, purchase orders, product spec sheets, range plan, invoices and product samples. Coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders, track shipments and assist in resolving any delivery or quality issues. Assist in evaluating new products based on trends, customer demand, and company objectives. Compiling and analysing data related to sales, pricing and market trends to assist in decision making. Support the delivery of the Product Strategy by delivering key reporting on a regular basis. Assist in creating product briefs for new season product collections Collaborate with the merchandising and marketing teams to ensure product availability aligns with promotional activities and samples are organised for product launch shoots. Assist in VM support including the creation of Planograms and range presentations for new product launches or campaigns. Be the face of the Product Team, working closely with the Store teams in managing any queries or needs that come through to the Product Team. Demonstrate phenomenal stakeholder management and relationship building both cross-functionally and with store representatives, communicating via phone and email professionally and with a curious and collaborative mind-set. Conduct regular market research and store visits to stay informed about industry trends and activities. Here’s what we are looking for in our new Assistant Buyer… Proficient in Excel with good numerical and analytical skills Previous buying/merchandising experience is preferred Competent in Google G Suite applications or other similar system Retail knowledge & experience working with POS and inventory management systems High level of attention to detail and experience working with large data sets Confident and clear communicator with strong organisational & time management skills Able to work independently and part of a global tight knit team What’s in it for you?
