About the role
As a service of Grampians Health Stawell, Macpherson Smith Residential Care has some advantages. Grampians Health Stawell has significant experience and skill in providing clinical and community services to the Stawell community and the surrounding area, and we are fortunate to be able to take advantage of that.
Residents are provided with 24 hour nursing care, and comprehensive Allied Health services in an environment that is comfortable, friendly, safe and will allow you to feel at home.
With 36 beds, we are large enough to have a wealth of resources to support your health needs, but small enough to provide a personal touch, and care plans that you and your family are involved in developing.
Key Responsibilities
* Caring for a diverse range of residents in varied care settings
* Participate in the provision of resident focussed, holistic care
* Plan, implement and evaluate evidence based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes for our residents
* Work collaboratively with the Care Community Manager to facilitate and foster best practice standards in nursing care to residents and their families and carers
Qualifications and experience
* Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current Practicing Certificate
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
* Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills, commensurate with experience

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024. The classification is Associated Nurse Unit Manager (YW11 – YW12) which ranges from $54.06 - $55.88 per hour.

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory police records check, immunisation clearance and Working with Children check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
