The Star Brisbane is Australia's newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre. This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city. The Event Planner offers a unique opportunity to coordinate industry-leading conferences and events and be the central liaison between our clients and property team. A few of your responsibilities Manage client as primary point of contact from Sales introduction to the client through to handover to Operations team. Production and delivery of detailed event orders, run sheets and floorplans using Delphi and Event Draw. Successfully deliver multiple events whilst meeting client and delegate expectations. Leading the client through decisions on catering, theming, supplies and AV and customise and design where required. Financial account management for the event including revenue received by deadlines, forecasted revenue is correct and event margins are profitable. Collaborate with Senior Operations Managers and handover to the Assistant Floor Managers to ensure events are delivered according to Event plans. Create and distribute the Event Resume to the relevant internal departments. What we will be looking for Tertiary qualifications in Event Management. Thorough knowledge of the Delphi Sales, Delphi & Catering Systems in conjunction with Delphi Advanced Reporting and CAD programme desirable. Experience in conferencing and hotel environments. High levels of attention to detail and strong planning background. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage productive relationships. About you As a seasoned event planner with a wealth of experience, you'll be instrumental in delivering the most exciting events in Brisbane at our stunning Event Centre. Your pivotal role will significantly contribute to shaping the success of our Event Centre at The Star.
