Teaching guitar to primary school students during the school day at school, on school grounds, across the inner west and eastern suburbs.
As the guitar tutor, you will be responsible for inspiring and engaging primary school students through conducting guitar tuition in specific schools according to a rostered timetable.
For many students, this will be the first time they ever experience the opportunity to learn music.
Emphasis will be on ensuring students have FUN and ENJOY the experience.
You'll be required to collect students from their classrooms, conduct guitar lessons in small groups, and then return children to their classrooms following the lessons.
The collection of students will involve polite liaising with classroom teachers.
You'll be expected to conduct the guitar lessons on school grounds, during school hours, and adhere to and respect the school environment that this work is done in.
You will be provided with all equipment including guitars, speakers, chord charts, music, capos, and any additional materials needed to teach the lessons.
All songs are provided.
You will not be expected to do any extra work outside of teaching the students.
In the event that you do any extra work outside of teaching hours, this time will be added to your weekly work hours and paid in addition to your casual wage.
You'll also receive a travel allowance when travelling between schools if you are using your own vehicle.
No tertiary qualifications required.
You must have a valid WWCC.
You will be required to do a paid trial as part of the recruitment process.
