About the role Hospital Medical Officer (HMO) applications for South West Healthcare are invited for the 2025 year. The South West Healthcare HMO year offers both Rural Generalist (VRGP) and general medical year positions offering experience in terms from the following options: Emergency, Paediatrics, Oncology, Women's Health, General Practice, General Medicine, General Surgery, Surgical Sub-specialties, Rehabilitation Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Psychiatry, Virtual Internal Medicine and Hospitalist (Camperdown Campus). Emergency and General Medicine rotations to Portland District Health may also be included. Position overview Full-time (76 hours per fortnight), Fixed-term positions Various Campus' Hospital Medical Officer Year 2, Year 3 or Year 4 (commensurate with experience) What you bring As an HMO holding a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) recognised and registered by the Medical Board of Australia, you will have developed experience and skills delivering safe, high quality patient care. You will be committed to working in an interdisciplinary team and ongoing learning and self- development, with an ability to seek advice when necessary.
