An opportunity exists for a Site Manager to become part of our team; Australasia's largest co-product stockfeed team.Castlegate James has been helping Australian and New Zealand farmers and animal nutritionists achieve optimum livestock production targets through a range of high performance, specialty co–product stock feeds. Castlegate James products are mainly directed at the ruminant feed market, dairy and beef cattle, sheep, and goats. Our product range includes major grains, protein meals, manufactured moist feeds, traditional grain mixes, sugar/starch/energy mixes, pellets and an extensive range of co-product stock feeds which have been sourced from the food and beverage industries around Australia.This role will be at Ballarat. The Site Manager is responsible for the overall site management and production of consistent quality, market acceptable animal feeds in accordance with the Group's safety, environmental and operational policies, industry standards and legislative requirements, while ensuring the effectiveness, cost efficiency and profitability of the Ballarat's Manufacturing site.Your responsibilities will include:Ensuring the manufacturing facility operates at peak efficiencyQuality Assurance, Workplace Health and Safety requirements are of paramount importanceProduction of premium quality products and the best customer service.Implementation and maintenance of best practice plant hygiene and maintenance standards at the site.Adherence to Environmental management practices and regulationsDay to day management of site personnel ensuring maximizing staff utilizationCompliance of site employment requirements and practices.Efficient production scheduling and planning to fully utilize the plant capabilitiesInventory control system incorporating accurate stock takes and full traceability of raw material usage for the site.Manage the supply of all raw materials into the site.Report on actual performance results on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as required.Mentor and develop the team on site through a change management processParticipation in the preparation of annual budgets and forecastsRecommending Capital Expenditure proposals in accordance with Group PolicyYou will have the experience and skills:5+ years operating experience working in preferably animal feed manufacturing or intensive livestock farming.Relevant experience operating agricultural machinery and equipment.Organizational and planning skillsLeadership and decision-making abilities, with teamwork focusExperience in Change Management in processes and cultureDemonstrated problem solving skills with attention to detailAbility to communicate at all levels.Microsoft computer literacy across all programsIf you meet the above criteria, please send us a cover letter as to why you believe you are suitable for the role and your resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr
