About the role
The Social Worker (Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit) is an experienced clinician who, as a member of the interdisciplinary team, delivers social work services to patients with a complex brain injury to maximise their potential to achieve optimum independence and quality of life. This will require involvement with patients and families from a variety of cultural backgrounds and beliefs
The social worker provides clinical support and guidance to less experienced social workers and students and contributes to education, quality improvement and planning activities.
The social worker may assist the Principal Clinician Social Work SA BIRS, and senior social workers by representing the discipline in service development as requested.
Qualifications
4. Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
