Your Impact:
As an Associate Water Engineer, you will shape the future of water infrastructure and engineering with Jacobs. You will provide mentorship and support to junior team members, take on client-facing responsibilities, nurture key relationships, and maximize work-winning activities to expand our client and project portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engineering solutions with outstanding technical and commercial results across the water sector, including storage, conveyance, treatment (water and wastewater), and emerging technologies.
* Actively mentor junior team members and manage workload distribution within tasks.
* Foster client relationships and technical leadership.
Requirements:
* Proficient in water and/or wastewater treatment and/or conveyance infrastructure, from planning to commissioning.
* Over 8 years' experience in water and wastewater infrastructure design, with the ability to work with and coordinate multiple engineering disciplines.
* Extensive knowledge of safety in design and relevant industry codes and standards relevant to the Australian water industry.
* Demonstrated experience on multi-disciplinary projects, including participation in and facilitation of standard design meetings and workshops.
* Ability to drive team excellence and delivery of quality solutions that meet client expectations.
* Technical specialist within cross-disciplinary knowledge and application.
* Mentors and guides junior team members in their own technical development.
* Foster strong cross-disciplinary relationships within Jacobs and our partners.
* Uphold Jacobs internal processes, including periodic reporting on project progress, financials, quality, etc.

What We Offer:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in either chemical, process, environmental, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
* Extensive water and wastewater infrastructure design experience.
* In-depth knowledge of water industry standards, codes, and best practices, as well as a diverse understanding of the impact of construction/maintenance practicalities on design.
* Excellent task, design and project management, as well as client relationship skills.
* Outstanding technical communication and report writing abilities.
