For over 70 years, we have been trusted to deliver market leading returns and to provide financial solutions that make dreams into reality.The OpportunityAs part of La Trobe Financial's Residential Real Estate Credit division, you will be responsible for the assessment of residential and investment loans within your delegated lending authority.This includes reviewing an applicants' previous and current credit and financial information to determine their creditworthiness and the likelihood that they will be able and willing to meet their financial obligations.
As part of this review, you will assess various elements of an application, such as their financial position, loan structure, security acceptability and whether the application adheres to responsible lending guidelines.
You will be required to adhere to all La Trobe Financial policies, processes and compliance & administrative requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment of individual, company, trust, construction (inclusive of multi development construction for Commercial Credit Analysts), and SMSF loan applicationsDemonstrating due diligence and attention to detail; reviewing and extracting information from documentation, such as income & financial statements, trust deeds and identification documents, to confirm creditworthinessCreating a Credit Approval Request Form (CARF) outlining the processes you have taken to reach your decision and recommendationsWorking closely with other Analysts, Team Leaders and Credit Leads to workshop applications.Managing credit risk, and ensuring all credit policy and guidelines are maintained and applied to appropriate decisionsArticulating and communicating credit decisions or workshops.Providing outstanding and professional customer service to our referral partners, customers and internal stakeholdersBuilding strong and mutually beneficial relationships with our referral partners, customers, internal & external stakeholdersAdherence to the Customer Service CharterAttending to general stakeholder enquiriesProviding insights and suggestions for possible process and operational improvementsAssisting other teams within the division if needed with credit assessments for both upfront, backend, and re-allocation applicationsPerform any other duties or functions as required or assignedAbout youA degree in a business-related field, or previous experience in the banking/finance industry is preferred but not essential.Demonstrated experience in retail lending will be advantageousExceptional customer service and relationship management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong administrative, organisational and time management skillsA keen eye for detail and the ability to identify discrepancies within dataAbility to work both autonomously and in a team, in a high-pressure work environmentA fluid approach to negotiating, decision making and relationship buildingAbility to adapt and demonstrate a flexible and agile mindsetEmployee BenefitsFlexible working arrangementsAbility to purchase additional LeaveEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Training opportunitiesSocial EventsRetail discounts with Reward GatewayPlease note, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAnalyst
