The Role of Country Manager
Reporting to the President in North America, the Country Manager will be responsible for driving growth and ensuring industry-leading equipment reaches customers across Australia. Based in the MacDon Melbourne head office, key responsibilities include:
Main Responsibilities
1. Managing and supporting the Australian team, ensuring a strong team culture and commitment to MacDon's dealers and farming customers is maintained.
2. Leading sales and driving P&L performance through active business engagement and developing strong business plans to match growth expectations.
3. Overseeing all operations, including the smooth and efficient flow of product and equipment into the country and to dealer customers.
4. Overseeing business operations including warehouse and distribution operations, human resources and other additional functions.
5. Developing and maintaining a strong dealer network across the country, including regular travel and engagement with end users to ensure a strong knowledge of both customer and products.
6. Liaising with global peers, attending industry events and maintaining close relationships with the North American head office.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a proactive, hands-on leader who can manage and drive all aspects of the Australian business and who has a true passion for the Australian agricultural industry. The ideal candidate will have:
Key Qualifications
* Experience within an equipment distributor, ideally in a management position or with experience managing key accounts, developing relationships with dealers and meeting regularly with end users.
* Experience in a management role that has developed your leadership skills to provide mentoring experience and a mentality of growing team capability.
* A strong, developed business acumen, including preparing and executing business strategies and experience managing a consolidated P&L.
* A developed and intimate knowledge of the Australian agricultural sector, ideally with relationships across farm dealership networks, and comfort with regular travel to maintain strong relationships with dealers.
* A result-oriented person, with a strong record of delivering results and someone that enjoys taking ownership of a business unit.
