Job Title: Team Lead – Rehabilitation and Closure

The Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit.

This is an onsite role based in Orange, NSW, requiring 5/2-4/3 residential commitment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develops, manages and schedules rehabilitation for all environmental approvals (State and Commonwealth) and other compliance-based considerations.
* Identifies resource requirements to meet rehabilitation requirements.
* Manages the Environmental Impact Permit (EIP) process.
* Provides regular updates regarding the progress of rehabilitation and manages the schedule to ensure redundancies, efficiencies and manage risk as needed.
Technical Accountabilities:
* Promotes adherence to company policies and safe practices.
* Understands and can implement business systems management principles and change management processes.
* Coordinates data provision for internal and external regulatory and voluntary reporting.
* Understands rehabilitation, offset and closure requirements and NSW Govt and other industry standards.
* Provides technical analysis and can convert complex material into easy to understand narratives to effect change.
* Adept at advocacy and negotiation as well as conflict resolution and risk identification, management and mitigation.
You will also possess:
* A Bachelor of Environmental Science or Engineering (Environmental) or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience in performing field studies and/or environmental impact statements.
* Practical knowledge of environmental rehabilitation and land management.
* Demonstrated capability in operating and maintaining an environmental management system, environmental risk registers and management plans.
* Sound understanding of managing environmental compliance in plant operations and project execution.
* Incident investigation, auditing skills, data analysis and report writing skills.
* Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
* Understanding of NSW planning and regulatory framework for State Significant Developments.
