About the Role
The Job Coach will be responsible for guiding and mentoring our clients to achieve their employment goals.
You will be able to think outside the box, communicate with a range of key stakeholders and broker work-integrated learning job opportunities, leading to rewarding and sustainable employment using the customised employment model.
The customised employment model includes assessing the pre-employment & employment needs of people with a disability, assisting with employment related capacity building, preparing them for work, assisting them to achieve employment & supporting them to maintain employment.
This position will work closely with Community Supports to ensure the person with a disability has all the supports required to sustain employment.

Specific Role Responsibilities
As a Job Coach you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of supports to facilitate employment options for people with disability thereby enhancing their quality of life. Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
7. Using a customised employment approach, support people with a disability to work towards their employment related goals – this includes developing an understanding of a client’s wants and desires, their capacity and training and aligning these with the business needs of potential employers
8. Work to develop, update, and review individualised discovery & employment plans
9. Complete comprehensive assessments for participant placements or employment that assess the needs of both participants & employers
10. In consultation with community supports develop, design and coordinate capacity building supports & activities to complement skills required to maintain employment
11. Identify, source, & establish ongoing relationships with local employers
12. Engage with employers to identify options for volunteering, work experience and open employment
13. Negotiate and create roles with employers that both add value to the employer and suit the particular skills, abilities and interests of the person with a disability
14. Provide on the job post placement support to participant & employers
15. Work with other supports in a coordinated manner to support the client to achieve their employment goals.
16. Assist participants with workplace supports, including but not limited to Job Access, Workplace modifications application/s etc.
17. Complete all administrative requirements, including file notes, plans, reports etc.
18. Meet requirements for billable hours & utilising the funding allocated to the participant.
About You

22. Communication Skills: Excellent customer service and interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
23. Resource Management: Demonstrated ability to manage financial and staff resources within a complex environment.
24. Initiative and Organisation: Ability to work effectively in a busy and fast paced environment while maintaining a customer service focus and confidentiality. Excellent initiative, self-directed work practices, and highly developed organisational skills.
25. Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
26. Self-motivated, resourceful with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
27. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work with adaptability and maturity.
28. Minimum Certificate IV, or relevant work experience in disability, community services, employment services or a related field

31. NDIS Worker Screening Check ( Due to NDIS requirements we are unable to employ for this role without an NDISWC. We therefore strongly encourage applicants to commence the NDISWC prior to interviews, as clearance can take in excess of 4 weeks )
32. Current driver's licence to drive in Australia
