Job Opportunity: Project Manager in Renewable Energy Infrastructure
Permanent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with prior experience in grid-scale solar projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and deliver large-scale renewable energy initiatives, shaping Australia’s future in sustainable energy.
This is a full-time position based in Melbourne, with a 10/4 roster travel requirement to project sites in Victoria and New South Wales.
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager with specific expertise in grid-scale solar projects to join our clients Utilities and Infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of major energy infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet client expectations safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Lead grid-scale solar and infrastructure projects through all phases, adhering to strict timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, cost control, variation handling, and month-end reporting to ensure accurate financial tracking.
* Contract & Resource Management: Oversee the contract lifecycle, including tender preparation, subcontractor coordination, and regulatory compliance.
* Risk and Compliance: Drive safety protocols and risk management to achieve compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong, collaborative relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Project Management Experience: At least several years in a Project Manager role, ideally within the renewable energy or grid-scale solar sector.
* Grid-Scale Solar Expertise: Understanding of the challenges and intricacies specific to managing large solar installations, including technical, regulatory, and operational aspects.
* Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PMBok, PRINCE, Agile) and tools like Primavera.
* Experience with SAP or similar project management software.
