About the role Our Wagga Wagga Donor Centre & Donor Mobile Unit are seeking a Donor Services Nursing Assistant (Phlebotomist) who has fantastic customer-facing experience and a genuine passion to deliver an exceptional service to our donors. As a Nursing Assistant, you will support our donors through their donation process, while working collaboratively to achieve collection targets. A day in the centre could see you:
Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donateComplete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin testsSet up machines, various tubing and collection bagsInsert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood and plasmaMonitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donationParticipate in Lifeblood's donor mobile unit activitiesOur paid and flexible self-paced training program has a balance between on-the-job practice, and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported. There is also an opportunity to enrol and gain a Certificate III in Pathology.
