Make a real difference and join a team that is responsible for defining and reinforcing enterprise standards, methodologies and best practices for project and portfolio management, delivery of organisational strategic programs, capital investment governance and investment prioritisation across the Lines of Business.
In this role, you will be accountable for the management and delivery of select Ausnet wide initiatives and have the structured capability to work in complex programme environments. You will model and reinforce strong delivery standards, methodologies and best practices to support investment ROI’s.
With a hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank, Melbourne and is part of the Group Operations department, reporting into the GM Group PMO.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
* Lead ideation, development and delivery of select strategic initiatives in partnership with LoBs
* Responsible for the successful delivery of the Strategic deliverability initiative
* Oversees and reports on progress to plan, deviations, risks and opportunities
* Collaborate with Portfolio Planning & Prioritisation teams to ensure alignment to plans/priorities, frameworks and processes
* Comply with Group PMO frameworks, standards and requirements.
* Support the establishment and embedding of best practice program management frameworks that are fit for purpose.
* Establish and lead the Delivery community of practice to foster a culture of best practice standards and continuous learning.
* Align to the consistent value framework for investment prioritisation.
* Drive engagement and compliance of systems and processes to manage investment prioritisation across the portfolio.
* Support the delivery and maintenance of ISO 21500 certification and ongoing compliance.
* Inspire and coach a skilled, high performing team that will foster a culture of best practice and continuous improvement across the organization, aligned to Ausnet’s leadership behaviours and values.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
* Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Program Management or another related field
* Extensive experience in a Program Management role and a leadership position.
* Relevant training or qualification in project & program management (EG PRINCE 2 or PMP)
* Proven track record of successful delivery outcomes of business wide, complex initiatives with budgets greater than $20M.
* Established success in leading program management frameworks across an enterprise.
* Proven experience managing senior stakeholders up to and EGM level.
* Exceptional experience with vendor & commercial management in a delivery environment.
* Demonstrated operational project management experience such as budgeting, resourcing, planning, risk-management, group facilitation and reporting.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills and with demonstrated experience in engaging and influencing senior stakeholder groups (including external industries – energy retailers, electrical trade, developers).
* Skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to influence drive alignment of program management requirements.
* Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate financial and PMO concepts to all audiences.
