We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic leader to join our ESS business as a Residential Area Manager for a portfolio of sites in South Australia, based in Roxby Downs.
This customer-focused leadership role involves managing a team of food professionals and facilities staff, and it offers a unique, immersive experience living and working locally in Roxby Downs. As an experienced operator, you will inspire your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining a streamlined commercial operation. Mastering the commercial aspects of this managerial position is vital for business success, but at the heart of this role is exemplary leadership. Your ability to coach teams, provide outstanding service, and foster an environment where residents fully experience the ESS difference is key to success. A strong commitment to safety and environmental respect is essential in this role, as you become an integral part of the local community, living and working alongside those you serve.
The Role
1. Manage & lead the running of all aspects of the sites
2. Experience managing budgets and demonstrated understanding of food costing, waste management and food/ site safety knowledge
3. Deliver to a high expectation of a premium experience
4. Follow company health, safety, and security procedures always
5. Lead, manage and motivate a large team of chefs, trades and facility staff
6. Manage the expectations of both clients and residents
The Person
We are looking for someone who has:
7. Previous experience managing a medium to large site, with knowledge of both culinary and cleaning services in settings like remote villages, hotels, or hospitality venues.
8. Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
9. Experience with financial reporting, and a focus on commercial and contract management.
10. A demonstrated background of delivering profitable business results.
11. Ability to drive stakeholder engagement and deliver superior service levels.
12. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
13. In-depth knowledge of health and safety, with a strong commitment to ensuring targets are safely achieved.
14. Sound knowledge of HACCP protocols.
15. Ability to quickly adapt to ongoing business needs.
