The UI Designer's responsibilities include evaluating user requirements and crafting visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for digital products. You will drive visual consistency across customer and staff touchpoints. In this role, you will report to and work closely with our Senior UX Researcher & Designer. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a UI Designer, you will:Evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers, other designers, and engineers.Illustrate and communicate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and prototypes.Lead the development of key customer journeys, focusing on reducing confusion and improving digital workflows.Support digital product designs; refining navigation and information architecture.Apply quantitative and qualitative research techniques to validate designs and continuously enhance the user experience.Create reusable design components and assets, such as buttons, icons, and typography styles.Use design principles (colour theory, typography, spacing) to enhance readability and aesthetic appeal.Ensure designs are visually appealing, consistent with brand guidelines, and optimised for various screen sizes and devices (responsive design).Bonus points if you have experience working with/on Content Management Systems or data storage platforms.Qualifications/Requirements:At least 4 years of experience in UI Design.Good understanding of UX principles to inform visual direction.Prior experience with design software and wireframe tools is crucial for success in this role.Strong attention to detail and an appreciation for detail in good design.Experience working in an agile product environment and with user-centred design methodologies.Natural creativity with an eye for creating great visual design from wireframes.Solid design skills based on expert knowledge of fundamental design principles, colour theory, typography, etc.Experience creating style guides/design systems and knowledge of atomic design.Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and designing for inclusivity.Ability to balance creative vision with business and technical constraints.Excellent people skills and a collaborative attitude.We're excited to grow our team with the addition of a UI Designer.
