The agency is a high-performing, world-class public service organisation, maximising community benefit from government land and property, and creating the conditions for a prosperous state.Hours: 8hr working day, 5 days per week.Your new roleThe Commercial Manager is responsible for providing high-quality services related to commercial, financial, transactional, and governance aspects across all agency commercial arrangements. This role ensures a coordinated approach to property renewal and other programs, with a key focus on supporting organisational efficiencies and standardisations. The Commercial Manager also ensures that agreed processes and practices are adhered to through proactive stakeholder management.Responsibilities:Provide advice on commercial, financial, procurement strategy, and deal structures across projects, transactions and programs, adopting a strategic and risk-based approach.Support complex property transactions and project procurements.Prepare procurement strategies in consultation and collaboration with other divisions as well as preparation of procurement and evaluation documents.Undertake transaction management tasks for complex projects and direct dealings, which in some cases will include managing external transaction consultants and probity advisors.Mitigate organisational risks by developing, implementing and maintaining best practice solutions for complex commercial, financial, legal and multidisciplinary issues.Contribute to commercial negotiations, for program consistency and objectives.Guide teams on the formation of procurement and negotiation strategies, plans and minimum outcome requirements.Establish relationships and manage linkages and complex dependencies with internal stakeholders.What you'll need to succeedExperience in a Commercial Management related role is a must.A strong background in property and housing development transactions very beneficial.Thorough knowledge and understanding of contemporary best practice approaches to strategic procurement, financing, approvals and implementation.Experience in tendering and procurement (including transaction management and tender evaluation).What you'll get in returnThis role is a 6 month contract position.Paying up to $600 + super, per day.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionPurchasing and Strategy/PlanningIndustriesGovernment Administration and Housing and Community Development
