With the recent purchase of a 30% stake in the Alta Mesa Uranium Project in South Texas USA, Boss Energy has reaffirmed its vision to become a global uranium supplier.
About the Role
The Hydrogeologist will report to the Senior Hydrogeologist and will provide technical input and data analytics to efficiently develop and operate uranium leaching wellfields. The role will be FIFO from Adelaide charter terminal direct to the Honeymoon mine site on an 8:6 roster.
Key Responsibilities Wellfield Planning Determining the precise locations of future patterns/wellfields (and their associated resource/PV). Specific well planning to maximise recovery. Highlight data gaps/concerns with potential future areas/wellfields – and help plan further work required (pumping test, delineation etc). Production Forecasting and Tracking Forecast and track production (inclusive of grade and flow rate) based on wellfield properties and expected plant constraints. Forecast number and timing of wellfields required. Highlight potential constraints from the wellfield which may compromise the forecasted production profile. Geology/Resource Work Analysis of all available resource and lithology data for planning/forecasting purposes. Manage, supervise, plan and execute production and delineation drilling programs. Environment Hydrogeological input into environmental reporting and permitting requirements. Production and Operations Help manage the process of wellfield installation, commissioning, pre-conditioning and mining. Track and help optimise the performance/efficiency of pre-conditioning and mining. Help manage the process of potable water supply and liquid waste disposal. Assist in hydrogeological evaluation of future areas (i.e. in EK or BD) and other orebodies (Jason's, Gould's Dam). About You Tertiary degree or higher in Hydrogeology, Geology or Petroleum Engineering. Demonstrated aptitude for data analysis and systematic, structured work flows. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. What We Offer
