As the Team Leader of Support Services, you’ll be at the helm of a crucial department that provides wellbeing, disability services, counselling, gender-based violence support, and child safety. Selected Duties: Demonstrated ability in leading and managing a team to work collaboratively to achieve outcomes in a complex, highly regulated and time sensitive operational environment. Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills including written, verbal, conflict resolution, and ability to motivate staff and develop/maintain effective workplace relationships. Manage projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, solve complex problems, monitor the performance of multiple work areas of responsibility to achieve goals, plan, and schedule work, identify and effectively manage risk. Commitment to high levels of customer service and continuous improvement, innovation, and compliance in others. ABOUT YOU Skills & Experience A degree or postgraduate qualification in the human services field, combined with significant experience. Proven experience and skills in leadership and management of staff. Current Drivers Licence. Desirable Knowledge and skills to ensure the provision of culturally, gender and age-appropriate service to clients. Desirable Strong understanding of available assistive technology programs and software to support the equitable learning experience of students with disability, long-term illness and or mental health conditions. Desirable Knowledge, understanding and experience of working with relevant Commonwealth and State legislation, particularly the disability Discrimination Act (Commonwealth) and the Equal Opportunity Act (Victoria), National standards for child Safe Organisation.
